Asset Support Analyst (COSME)

This is professional, technical, and analytical work, primarily in support of the Water Resources Department’s Work and Asset Cloud Service (WACS) system, involving the related research, data analysis, design, development, review and evaluation of organizational projects and data reporting requirements. Work includes the coordination of asset management practices, system development and documentation; responsibility for coordinating, training, and providing all needed technical support at the departmental level for specialized computer applications, including those applications that are specific to the Water Resources Department and related to the WACS system; developing, coordinating, supervising and participating in technical support; and assisting in the coordination of system updates, job scheduling, documentation and support for application software. Work involves providing quality control of the WACS system data; creating and maintaining workflow processes; creating and providing related reports; and representing the division on City work and asset management committees and work groups. An employee in this class must have the ability to quickly develop a thorough knowledge of departmental programs, procedures, and policies; and requires the exercise of considerable independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative in completing assigned tasks.



Salary: $26.22 - $41.67 Hourly

Minimum Qualifications. Applicants must:

  • Possess a valid Bachelor’s degree or a high school diploma or GED equivalency combined with experience.
  • Possess and continue to maintain a valid Driver License.
  • Have previous experience in supporting asset management computer software.
  • Have previous experience with management of linear and vertical assets.
  • Have previous experience providing end-user support.
  • Be able to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Acknowledge this position is designated as Emergency Critical (EC) and if hired into the position, you must be immediately available to the department before, during, and after a declared emergency and/or disaster.


Desirable Qualifications. Preferred applicants:

  • Have considerable experience supporting WACS systems.
  • Have water utility experience.
  • Have progressive experience developing, reviewing, and evaluating asset management and budgetary reports.
  • Are able to work efficiently and effectively in a work team.
