The role implies assessment of the monetary value (market value, fair value, realization value, etc.) of transportation assets (marine vessels, aircrafts & vehicles or other in case of appearance) for various purposes including sales, chartering/ providing to clients by different products , insurance claims, legal disputes, and taxation.
Responsibilities:
Conducting valuations of transportation assets (marine vessels, aircrafts & vehicles) using various methodologies, such as income-, market-, and asset-based approaches;
Monitoring of LTV values throughout the lifetime of assets;
Verification of valuation reports provided by external appraisers;
Performing financial analysis & modeling using discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis, on the basis of financial statements, forecasts, and other relevant data;
Performing dedicated market researches: reviewing industry surveys, detecting benchmarks, and economic trends to enhance relevance and precision of assessments;
Establishment of cooperation with external evaluation companies in the countries of presence to prepare the necessary official reports or provide general market information;
Reports preparation & presentation: preparing comprehensive valuation reports based on available documentation that clearly present methodologies and findings;
Compliance: Ensuring adherence to relevant regulations and professional standards, such as International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) or RICS Valuation Global Standards;
Communicating with colleagues and external parties to collect information necessary for valuation;
Conducting occasional physical on-site inspections of the assets (less than 10% of time);

Skills
Experience with financial modeling (discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis, market multiples, comparables, sensitivity analysis and relative valuation techniques) is a must;
Experience in valuation of means of transport (vessels, aircrafts and/or vehicles) is essential;
Openness to explore new markets and search for market pricing information
Previous experience in valuation companies, insurance companies, investment or corporate banks, audit/consulting firms is beneficial;
PC literate: MS Office – advanced user; knowledge of appraisal software, data analysis tools, and relevant industry databases is highly appreciated;
Strong analytical, mathematical and critical thinking abilities;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Good command of English, French and/or Spanish language is an advantage;

Professional certification like Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) or Accredited Valuation Analyst (AVA) is a plus;
Qualifications and Certifications:
Minimum professional experience in valuation is not less than 3 years, extensive experience in valuation of means of transportation (marine vessels, aircrafts & vehicles) is preferred;
A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as engineering, shipping, actuarial science, finance, business, or logistics is required;
A vocational training or qualification/certificate in valuation supported by extensive working experience is accepted;
