Assistant Accountant

Job description:

About Us:

We Taameer Plus Contracting are growing construction and contracting company. With a reputation for quality and timely delivery, we’re looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team and support our financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

General Accounting:

  • Maintain general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial data

Construction-Specific Duties:

  • Manage company account details.
  • Assist with progress billing, AIA documentation, retainage tracking, and change order accounting
  • Coordinate subcontractor payments and lien waiver collection
  • Ensure compliance with contract terms and payment schedules

Financial Reporting:

  • Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Monitor cash flow and provide forecasts
  • Provide financial insights to support business strategy and decision-making
  • Prepare journal entries, monthly closing procedures, and account reconciliations
  • Manage accounts payable/receivable and ensure timely billing and collections
  • Track project costs and provide regular updates to project managers
  • Prepare VAT reports

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of accounting experience (construction field preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and construction job costing
  • Experience with accounting software/ Al Amin Software
  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
