Assistant Accountant

Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant to manage daily accounting operations for our retail stores Book Corner & Funzone. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and standard accounting practices.

Female candidates only with sponsor visa.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations (AP, AR, general ledger).
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements.
  • Handle VAT calculations, returns filing, and compliance as per FTA guidelines.
  • Manage UAE Corporate Tax compliance, record-keeping, and filing.
  • Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and petty cash.
  • Monitor inventory costing, stock adjustments, and purchase entries.
  • Maintain timely and accurate records of sales, expenses, and supplier payments.
  • Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and management.
  • Prepare payroll, leave salary, and end-of-service calculations.
  • Assist management with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Ensure all accounting data is filed securely and updated regularly.
  • Generate periodic reports for management decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years accounting experience in UAE (retail experience preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, etc.).
  • Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, formulas).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
