Assistant Accounts Manager (US based)

Karachi, Pakistan

Position: Assistant Accounts Manager

Job Type: Full-Time

Timing: 6:30 AM to 3:30 AM, 5 days a week

Salary: 150k to 170k

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Management

· Train, mentor, and support bookkeeping/accounting staff to enhance performance and productivity

· Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback

· Set clear goals, KPIs, and development paths for the accounting team

· Resolve conflicts and maintain a positive, collaborative work environment

Client Relationship Management

· Manage client onboarding and ensure seamless transitions

· Address client queries and concerns promptly and professionally

· Maintain high standards of client satisfaction through proactive communication and service delivery

Operational Oversight

· Develop, document, and enforce efficient bookkeeping processes and internal controls

· Monitor daily workflows, ensuring all deadlines and quality benchmarks are met

· Maintain accuracy and consistency in all financial documentation and reports

Financial Reporting & Analysis

· Review and approve monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

· Perform high-level analysis and provide actionable insights to clients and management

· Ensure compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, and client-specific standards

Reporting to Senior Management

· Provide timely updates on department performance, client satisfaction, and process efficiency

Prepare strategic reports and dashboards for executive decision-making Liaison Between Team and BackTech Management

· Act as the key communication bridge between the accounting team and senior leadership

· Ensure alignment of departmental goals with company strategies

· Communicate staffing, attendance, and performance matters effectively to BackTech management

· Advocate for team needs while upholding organizational expectations

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Strong leadership, people management, and conflict resolution skills
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Candidates who are CA or ACCA finalists will be given preference.
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in the use of Excel and QuickBooks Online, with Zoho Books knowledge as an added advantage.
  • Language: Proficient in English (US), both written and verbal.
  • Analytical Capability: Exceptional analytical abilities with a keen eye for detail.
  • Autonomy: Competent in managing responsibilities independently in a dynamic setting.

Technical Skills

Accounting Software Expertise

  • QuickBooks Online (Advanced proficiency)
  • Zoho Books, FreshBooks, Xero, and other modern cloud-based accounting tools
  • Microsoft Excel (Advanced functions including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)

Experience

Qualified candidates should submit a resume and detailed cover letter, highlighting:

· At least 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience, exposure to US-based firms preferred.

  • Experience working in a BPO Industry, Audit Firm, or Multinational Company, showcasing versatility across various accounting frameworks.
  • Proven expertise in QuickBooks Online and Excel.
  • Experience with new client implementation is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs150,000.00 - Rs170,000.00 per month
