A division of Constellation Software is seeking an energetic, independent, and detail-oriented Assistant Analyst to join our team at our Contour office in Karachi. Constellation (TSX: CSU) is a publicly-traded company that acquires, manages, and grows vertical market software companies all over the world.
The resource will be working closely and assisting the senior team members with the day-to-day tasks of the team to develop an understanding of standard processes which have an impact on the Business Unit and Corporate Financial Statements. They will be able to practice their technical accounting knowledge and work toward process improvement while working with other professionals to learn current accounting practices adopted in the software and service industry.
Responsibilities

Preparation of journal entries for month-end close.

Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations monthly and related reports.

Understanding of International accounting standards such as IFRS-15 and IFRS-16.

FX revaluation postings.
-
Assist with the preparation of revenue analysis reports (Deferred Maintenance, Run Rates, and Accrued Income) monthly.

Quarterly disclosure reporting and templates.
-
Assist in implementing process improvements to accounting processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Assist with ad hoc project/analysis as needed.

Initiate banking payments for approval

Book Intercompany cross charges for FOG
-
Run Intercompany reports and investigate the differences per the report

Update deadlines through Microsoft Planner/ check submissions are provided

Manage Flye (Expense System, ie: add users, help with queries)
Requirements
-
Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.

Strong organizational and communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail.

Understanding of accounting software, preferably Great Plains.

Proficiency in English and MS Excel.

A bachelor’s/master’s degree in Finance/Accounting/related field, or a finalist, part-qualified professional qualification.
