For Assistant Professor Criteria Are As Follows

Must be a Core/relevant graduate Engineer with HEC/PEC recognized Ph.D. degree

First-class with minimum 70% or 3.00/4.00 CGPA

Intermediate Teaching/OBE Training Course

Have at least two publications, one in W and other in X category HEC/PEC recognized Journals
-
Have supervised at least 3 Final Year Projects (FYP) or equivalent industry projects work
For Associate Professor Criteria Are As Follows

Must be a Core/relevant graduate Engineer with HEC/PEC recognized Ph.D. degree

First-class with minimum 70% or 3.00/4.00 CGPA

Advanced Teaching/OBE Training Course

Must have at least one membership of an international body in the relevant/core area

Have served as an Assistant Professor for at least six years.

In case of industry experience. He /She must have served three years in the industry; however, three must be academics experience at University/HEI
-
A person having an MS degree in the core or relevant field along with 15 years of professional experience in the relevant and acceptable reputed industry can be appointed as Associate Professor.

Have published 15 research papers in the HEC/PEC recognized journals (10 in W category Journal and 5 in X category), out of which five must be in the last five years. Only those published articles will be considered where the authorship is up to the 4th number.

Have supervised at least two MS thesis (completed) and one Ph.D. thesis (completed).

Have supervised at least 5 Final Year Projects (FYP) or equivalent industry projects
Responsibilities

Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Electrical and Computer Engineering, focusing on topics such as Signal Processing, Embedded Systems, and Communication Systems.

Develop and enhance curriculum materials, ensuring alignment with current industry standards and practices.

Conduct research in specialized areas of Electrical and Computer Engineering and publish findings in recognized academic journals.

Supervise and mentor students on their final year projects and industry-related projects, providing guidance and expertise to enhance their learning experience.

Engage in community outreach and promote the department's research initiatives to attract potential students and funding opportunities.

Participate in departmental and university meetings to contribute to the strategic planning and development of the department.

Stay updated with the latest advancements in the field of Electrical and Computer Engineering and integrate this knowledge into the curriculum.

Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary research projects and foster a supportive environment for academic growth.

Assist in the preparation of accreditation reports and ensure compliance with educational standards as prescribed by HEC/PEC.

Provide academic advising and support to students, guiding them through their educational journeys and career aspirations.
