Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper with strong experience using QuickBooks to support our growing business operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts receivable, preparing monthly financial reports, assisting with tax filings, and supporting day-to-day bookkeeping functions.
This position requires strong organizational skills, accuracy, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using QuickBooks
- Process accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding customer balances
- Assist with accounts payable and vendor payments
- Assist with sales tax filings and other required tax reporting
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and loan accounts
- Maintain general ledger entries and journal entries
- Organize and maintain financial documents and records
- Support outside CPA/accountant with year-end reporting and tax preparation
- Perform other general bookkeeping and administrative accounting duties as needed
Qualifications
- Previous bookkeeping experience required
- Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks (Desktop)
- Understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting
- Experience with accounts receivable, reconciliations, and tax filings
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general computer skills
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or small business operations preferred.
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
