About the Role
Johnstone Supply – The Comunale Group is growing and has an Assistant Branch Manager opportunity in our Salisbury, MD location. We are seeking an energetic, engaging, knowledgeable, and dedicated individual to join our team. The primary role of the Assistant Branch Manager is to assist the Branch Manager in store operations to meet goals and objectives for store sales, profitability, and customer experience in the local market and enforces, communicates, and models performance expectations for all store members.
The Assistant Branch Manager possesses excellent team management, business management, and customer sales and service skills and is self-motivated and has the desire to go above and beyond.
Qualifications
- College degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in store management/operations in a wholesale environment.
- Knowledge of the HVACR industry, contractor customer needs, and product applications.
- Knowledgeable of wholesale distribution, order fulfillment, inventory control, customer service, showroom merchandising, shipping and receiving.
- General knowledge of human resources management principles
- Ability to create and manage a high performing team.
- Knowledge of governmental regulations as applied to product distribution, including OSHA regulations, worker’s compensation, and hazardous materials handling.
- Ability to quickly problem solve, work efficiently and with a sense of urgency.
- Skill in the use of PC-based spreadsheets and word processing programs (MS Word/Excel).
Responsibilities
- Leading by example enforces performance expectations, coaches and encourages the team to perform to their fullest potential and provide routine performance feedback.
- Establish sales and profitability goals, supervise the operational duties of the store such as and not limited to the store’s inventory, returns, warranties, and shipping and receiving.
- Ensure customers receive stellar customer service, create and enhance customer relationships, and support inside sales and outside sales.
- Apply knowledge of wholesale distribution, store operations, HVACR industry, basic inventory management, governmental regulations as applied to product distribution during the day-to-day operations.
- Effectively communicate orally and written, solve problems, develop and implement procedures, multitask, and demonstrate tact and diplomacy.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
