Job Purpose:
The Assistant Branch Manager (ABM) - Sohar overseas the efficient and effective operation of the branch. He/she works closely with the Branch Manager to ensure that all operational activities run smoothly and adheres to the Bank's policies and procedures. The ABM - Sohar assists in supervision the branch staff and foster a customer-centric environment to enhance overall customer satisfaction and achieve business objectives.
Key Accountabilities:

Provides day-to-day supervision and support for branch operations, ensuring compliance with all banking regulations, policies, and procedures.

Oversees various administrative functions, including cash management, transaction processing, account opening, loan application and closing procedures.

Fosters a customer-centric culture within the branch by encouraging staff to provide exceptional service to customers.

Handles escalated customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally, resolving issues to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.

Assists in training and developing branch staff to improve their product knowledge, customer service skills, and operational efficiency.

Conducts regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to enhance team productivity.

Collaborates with the sales team to promote banking products and services effectively.

Provides insights and suggestions to enhance sales strategies and achieve branch sales targets.

Ensures the implementation of risk management practices such as fraud prevention, compliance and security measures to safeguard the bank's assets and maintain a secure banking environment.

Prepares regular reports on branch performance, operational metrics, and customer feedback.

Maintains accurate records and documentation of operational activities and ensures they are properly archived.

Oversees cash handling procedures, vault management and ATM operations.

Maintains optimal cash levels to meet customer demand while minimizing excess cash holdings.

Identifies opportunities for process optimization and efficiency within the branch operations.

Collaborates with the Branch Manager and other stakeholders to implement best practices and streamline workflows.

Stays updated on banking regulations and industry trends to guarantee branch's adherence to all legal and regulatory requirements.

Implements necessary changes and updates to comply with new regulations.
Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field is preferred.

Minimum 7 years of experience in branch operations management with experience in sales, cash management and customer service in the banking industry is preferred.

Ability to achieve sales targets with proven track records.

Ability to maintain high level of customer satisfaction.

Good understanding of banking offered products.

Intermediate in Microsoft Office suite applications includes Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
