Job Description – Dry Fish Sales Store Manager
Position Title: Store Manager – Dry Fish Sales
Department: Retail / Sales
Reports To: Sales Head / Operations Manager
Role Purpose:
The Store Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Dry Fish Sales Store, ensuring smooth business activities, maintaining quality standards, achieving sales targets, and delivering excellent customer service. The role requires strong leadership, inventory management, and a good understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Store Operations Management
- Oversee daily store activities including sales, stock handling, customer service, and staff management.
- Ensure the store is clean, organized, and follows food hygiene standards.
- Monitor product display, pricing, and store layout for maximum sales impact.
2. Sales & Customer Service
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
- Build and maintain relationships with regular and wholesale customers.
- Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional manner.
- Suggest promotions, discounts, or loyalty programs to increase sales.
3. Inventory & Stock Management
- Manage stock levels, place orders, and coordinate with suppliers for timely deliveries.
- Ensure all dry fish products are properly stored, labeled, and within expiry standards.
- Conduct regular stock counts and report discrepancies.
4. Staff Supervision
- Supervise, train, and motivate store staff to provide quality service.
- Schedule duty rosters and manage staff attendance.
- Ensure staff follow company policies, safety, and hygiene guidelines.
5. Reporting & Administration
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales and stock reports.
- Manage cash handling and daily reconciliation.
- Report operational issues, sales performance, and customer feedback to management.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in retail/store management, preferably in food or FMCG sector.
- Strong knowledge of dry fish products, storage, and handling (advantage).
- Good communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Customer-oriented with problem-solving ability.
- Basic computer skills (MS Office, POS systems).
