Assistant Buyer - eCommerce

At Fanatics Commerce, our Assistant Buyers are foundational members of the Merchandising team — ensuring operational excellence and providing key support that enables categories to deliver for fans.

Supporting a Buyer or Associate Buyer, the Assistant Buyer manages day-to-day merchandising tasks, vendor communications, and cross-functional coordination. This role builds the essential skills and experience to progress into an Associate Buyer role.


How you will make an impact:


Merchandise Operations & Execution

  • Set up new items, SKUs, and product attributes with accuracy in merchandising systems.
  • Track samples, organize product information, and support photo shoots and marketing needs.
  • Assist in managing purchase orders, delivery timelines, and product flow.


Vendor & Partner Engagement

  • Communicate regularly with vendors to ensure product information, samples, and orders are accurate and timely.
  • Prepare materials for vendor meetings and line reviews.
  • Support cross-functional partners in Planning, Product Development, Marketing, and Site Experience.


Business & Performance Support

  • Pull and analyze weekly sales, inventory, and margin reports to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Track promotional and markdown execution.
  • Share competitive and fan insights with the team to strengthen category strategy.


Team Collaboration

  • Provide critical operational support to Associate Buyers and Buyers.
  • Contribute to a culture of accountability, collaboration, and curiosity.
  • Embody Fanatics’ BOLD Leadership Principles daily.


What you bring to the team:

  • 0–2 years of experience in merchandising, retail, eCommerce, or related field.
  • Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Comfort with Excel and merchandising systems; eager to learn financial metrics.
  • Curiosity about product, fans, and sports culture.
  • Team-first mindset and desire to grow into a merchandising leader.


Where You’ll Work

  • This role is based in New York City or Jacksonville, FL
  • Travel to vendor meetings, market appointments, and industry events as needed.

The salary range for this position is $50,000 to $65,000, which represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation. When determining base pay, as part of a final compensation package, we consider several factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and training.
