Assistant Camp Director

Windridge Tennis and Sports Camp is a family-owned and operated residential camp located in Roxbury, VT that has been creating exceptional summer experiences since 1968. Built around a daily schedule of sports and traditional camp electives, Windridge is guided by the values of sportsmanship, encouragement, community, trust, and respect. We serve approximately 140 campers per session across three sessions each summer, with campers ranging in age from 7 to 16.

Nestled in Vermont’s Green Mountains, Windridge fosters a deep appreciation for the outdoors and the natural world. Campers choose a 'major' from our four signature sports, tennis, soccer, horseback riding, and golf, building skills and confidence alongside traditional camp activities and electives.

Position Overview

Windridge is seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and dedicated Assistant Camp Director to join our leadership team. This is a year-round position; full-time from May through August and approximately 30 hours per week from September through April. The Assistant Camp Director works directly with the Camp Directors and is instrumental in the successful day-to-day management of camp. With 140 campers per session and 90+ seasonal staff members, this role is central to everything that makes a Windridge summer run. The Assistant Director takes the lead on staff hiring while supporting the Camp Director on camper recruitment and engagement, program design, and implementation.

Our current Assistant Director will be returning for the summer of 2026, providing an excellent opportunity for the incoming candidate to shadow her, learn the role firsthand, and build a strong foundation before taking full ownership of the position.

Our winter office is based in Stowe, VT. While we prefer candidates who are local to the central Vermont area during the off-season, we are open to remote work arrangements for the right candidate.
