Job Description:

We are looking for an Assistant Category Manager – Appliances to support day-to-day category operations within a large-format retail environment. The role involves sales analysis, vendor coordination, inventory management, and promotional execution. This position is ideal for professionals aiming to grow into a full Category Manager role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Category Manager in executing category strategies, pricing, and assortment plans.
• Track and analyze sales performance, stock levels, sell-through, and promotional effectiveness.
• Prepare regular analytical reports using Excel and retail ERP systems.
• Coordinate with vendors for order processing, follow-ups, delivery schedules, and documentation.
• Assist in negotiating vendor pricing, promotions, rebates, and commercial terms.
• Coordinate with marketing and sales teams for campaign execution and product launches.
• Monitor competitor pricing, promotions, and market trends; share insights with management.
• Ensure accurate SKU, pricing, and promotional data in ERP and reporting systems.
• Support inventory planning to avoid stock-outs and minimize overstock or aging inventory.
• Provide operational and administrative support to the category management team.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• 3–5 years of experience in category management, merchandising, or retail buying.
• Prior exposure to home appliances or consumer electronics retail is preferred.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
• Proficient in Excel and retail ERP systems.
• Good communication and vendor coordination skills.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Proactive, commercially aware, and eager to learn.
