Assist in the administration, coordination, and supervision of programs and activities within the Code Compliance Division of the Planning Department. Coordinate assigned activities with other divisions and outside agencies; lead and direct operations related to housing and building inspection, neighborhood improvement, and zoning enforcement. Provide highly responsible and complex administrative support to higher level management staff.

Education and experience directly related to the minimum requirements below may be interchangeable on a year for year basis.
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in urban planning, public administration, criminal justice, or related field; and
Seven (7) years of professional experience in planning, building inspection, construction/building code enforcement, or zoning code enforcement; and
To include: Three (3) years of supervisory experience.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License, or the ability to obtain by date of hire.
Possession of a City Operator's Permit (COP) within six (6) months from date of hire.
Possession of ICC certification in International Property Maintenance Code (IPMC) within one (1) year from date of hire.
