Assistant Construction Project Manager / Estimator

Dade Service has an immediate career opportunity for a Assistant Construction Project Manager / Estimator at our DeLand location. We are seeking experienced commercial construction assistant project managers. Our projects are across the country so travel to visit job sites may be required.

Dade Service is a 4th generation family business design-build construction firm that values dedication, teamwork, customer relations and providing a quality product. We specialize in cold storage projects for the produce industry using insulated panel systems and refrigeration systems.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Assist in managing construction projects for pre-construction to project close out
• Work closely with project managers to assist in project management and other required work tasks
• Prepare and Manage all project schedules for materials and installation
• Compile project estimates for review
• Procure subcontractor quotes and material quotes for projects
• Periodic on site progress visits of both self performed and subcontracted work
• Ensure quality installations and drawings are being executed
• Actively utilize project construction management software, Procore
• Issue and Manage RFI's for project
• Develop and ensure successful completion of punch list at close out of projects
• Produce weekly project updates for clients
• Assist in permitting
• Work effectively with superintendents, contractors, subcontractors and governing authorities
• Job site visits are required. 10 - 30% travel time

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience in construction management field
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• College Education in management or building construction is a plus, but not required
• Bachelor's (preferred)
• AutoCAD experience is a plus but not required
• Cold Storage Construction experience is a plus but not required
• Assistant Project Management: 2 years +
• Commercial Construction: 5 years + (preferred)
