Assistant Controller

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
• Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
• Reconcile bank statements, accounts, and financial discrepancies
• Collaborate with leadership to provide financial insights and recommendations
• Assist with audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting
• Help streamline accounting procedures and improve system efficiencies

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of accounting experience (construction or materials industry experience is a plus)
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
