Assistant Controller – Hospitality Management

Prominence Hospitality Group is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to support accounting operations across multiple hotel properties and entities. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on accounting professional with hospitality or hotel accounting experience looking to grow within a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll do as an Assistant Controller

• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Prepare and review financial statements, journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
• Analyze property-level P&Ls and investigate variances
• Oversee AR, AP, cash, fixed assets, and prepaids
• Prepare and file sales and occupancy tax returns
• Support audits, lender reporting, and tax requests
• Partner with operations and internal teams to resolve accounting issues
• Identify process improvements and support accounting staff
• Act as backup to the Controller

What You’ll Need to be an Assistant Controller

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of accounting experience, including multi-entity accounting
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience with M3, Hotel Investor Apps, QuickBooks, or similar systems
• Advanced Excel skills
