Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Assistant Cook to support our kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will assist chefs in food preparation, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and ensure food safety standards are followed at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing ingredients such as chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and preparing sauces
- Support chefs in cooking and plating dishes as per company standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations
- Ensure proper storage of food items following FIFO standards
- Wash, peel, and prepare food items as required
- Monitor stock levels and inform supervisors of shortages
- Follow all hygiene and food safety regulations
- Assist in receiving and storing deliveries
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Head Chef or Kitchen Supervisor
Requirements
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a similar role (restaurant/hotel preferred)
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen equipment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Physically fit and able to stand for long hours
- Local Hire Only
- Must have Valid QID & NOC
- Ready for Immediate Joining
Preferred Qualifications
- Certificate or diploma in culinary arts (optional but preferred)
- Basic understanding of food safety standards (HACCP knowledge is a plus)
