Assistant Cost Estimator

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates based on project drawings, specifications, and scope of work.
  • Analyze project requirements, quantities, and materials to support accurate pricing and budgeting.
  • Support the preparation of tender submissions and bid proposals.
  • Coordinate with procurement teams to obtain supplier quotations and material pricing.
  • Assist in evaluating subcontractor proposals and preparing cost comparisons.
  • Support the estimation team in reviewing project risks and cost factors that may impact project budgets.
  • Ensure estimates are aligned with project timelines and company cost standards.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Prepare and present detailed bid proposals to senior management for approval.
  • Maintain accurate records of all estimates, bids, and related documentation.
  • Provide post-bid analysis and feedback to improve future estimating processes.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the operations, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure estimates reflect practical and executable plans.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Review and refine estimating processes to improve accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in cost estimation, tendering, or project costing.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimation software.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RO200.000 - RO400.000 per month
