SOCIAL SERVICES ATTORNEY

The Department of Social Services is seeking a qualified attorney to perform professional legal work, providing essential counsel and representation for the department. This position involves responsibility for prosecuting legal actions and offering related legal services under the general direction of the Commissioner of Social Services. The successful candidate will act as a key legal consultant to various divisions, including Child Welfare and Public Assistance, and will represent the Department in Family Court matters such as child abuse, neglect, foster care, adoption, and child support. This role requires the ability to prepare and try cases, review legal documents, and liaise with judges and law enforcement.

Salary Range: $98,325 - $108,783 per year, plus a $10,000 recruitment bonus
