Description
The Assistant Craft Recruiter supports full life cycle, national recruitment, in alignment with business goals and initiatives, while providing outstanding service to internal clients and creating an excellent candidate experience.
- Responsible for supporting the recruitment of craft professionals for multiple construction projects throughout the US.
- Assists in the coordination and administration of field/craft recruiting, including employment screening resumes/job applications, coordinating pre-employment onboarding activities; ensuring a seamless recruiting experience for candidates.
- Assists in maintaining applicant tracking information and updating the database on a regular basis.
- Collaborates with project teams to identify craft and technical personnel to meet project staffing objectives.
- Assists operations management with short and long-term craft planning and staffing needs.
- Coordinates safety and/or other client-specific training with operations management and the Safety department.
- Supports compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws and corporate policies and procedures.
- Prepares and sends new hire packets and answers applicant/employee questions.
- Maintains and updates employee personnel files in a confidential manner.
- Actively participate in professional networking groups, job fairs, and other recruiting events
- Demonstrated ability to work independently
- Prepares a weekly report of recruiting activities.
- Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
- Involvement on campus or in the community preferred.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently (i.e., without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship) in the country where this position is located.

Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in human resources, business or related field Required or
- Associate Degree in human resources, business or related field and 2 years experience recruiting craft and specialized field/technical employees in the construction industry Required or
- High School Diploma/GED and 4 years experience recruiting craft and specialized field/technical employees in the construction industry Required
- Bilingual proficiency preferred (e.g., English and Spanish)
- Familiarity with multiple applicant tracking systems (ATS)
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Experience developing, extending and negotiating employment offers preferred.
- Ability to develop creative and innovative sourcing strategies.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and research skills
- Knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
- Understand, follow and ensure compliance with all established policies, processes and procedures.
- Must demonstrate ability to build strong relationships and provide excellent customer service.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to clearly present complex information.
