We are seeking a proactive and creative Assistant Design Manager to lead and inspire our design team across multiple interior design and fit-out projects. The ideal candidate will bring a balance of strong leadership, technical expertise, and design creativity, with proven experience in hospitality, corporate offices, and luxury villa projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of the design studio and oversee all design deliverables.
- Lead concept development, providing creative direction aligned with project vision and client expectations.
- Review and approve technical drawings, BOQs, and material specifications.
- Coordinate closely with project managers to ensure design intent is delivered during fit-out execution.
- Oversee resource planning, team performance, and workflow efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with codes, budgets, and company standards.
- Support tender submissions and design-related bid documents.
- Monitor and report on team KPIs and project progress.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
- 5–8 years of experience in interior design/fit-out, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong portfolio covering hospitality, corporate, and luxury residential projects.
- Excellent technical knowledge of drawings, detailing, BOQs, and execution.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Suite, MS Office (Revit/3D Max a plus).
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and solution-focused mindset.
