Assistant Director, Concessions & Business Development

Position Summary

Love great food, discovering new retail trends, or creating memorable hospitality experiences? Imagine shaping the first and lasting impression of our region for more than 37 million travelers who pass through Minneapolis–St. Paul International Airport (MSP) each year.

As Assistant Director, you will drive the vision and execution of innovative, profitable, and sustainable concession development across both MSP terminals. You’ll lead a high-performing team in managing a diverse portfolio of concession partners, developing new concepts, elevating customer experiences, and maximizing revenue for the Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC).

In this role, you will actively shape MAC’s concession strategy, from designing and growing the terminal concession program, to guiding new business development and integrating cutting-edge food, retail, and service concepts. You’ll negotiate financial terms, oversee contract compliance, evaluate operator performance, and steer non-aeronautical revenue growth.

You’ll also be at the forefront of analyzing market trends, identifying emerging opportunities, and bringing forward creative ideas that keep MSP a top-ranked airport destination. If you’re energized by cultivating partnerships, driving business performance, and influencing the future of airport experiences, this is a chance to make a major impact in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
