Plans, develops, organizes, supervises, coordinates, and evaluates a comprehensive fitness service provided through the Student Recreation Center. Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the fitness rooms, cardio/weight area, track, and gymnasium. Responsible for the marketing, advertising and communication of Student Recreation Center activities. Supervision assistance of student workers and front desk routine.
Develops and implements a diversified and comprehensive fitness program to include but not limited to: personal training, specialty classes, group fitness classes, and continuing education classes. Promotes and interprets division activities, programs and policies. Develop strategies to provide services of the fitness center. Constructs new marketing initiatives through critical analysis and thinking. Creates and executes campaigns on social media platforms. Analyzes campaign performance and adjusts strategies. -30%
Schedules classes, programs, facilities, special promotions, and activities. -20%
Evaluates fitness area and programs through observation and direct contact with participants as well as written surveys. Determines needs for specific programs and fitness center. -10%
Coordinates and works with other divisions to incorporate system philosophy and policy to promote a rounded and comprehensive department. -5%
Recruits, selects, supervises, trains and appraises part-time personnel and seasonal personnel in the division. Maintains accurate payroll records. Ability to build quality part-time and seasonal staff within a short timeframe annually. Assists in the supervisor of student workers and front desk routine. -10%
Assures proper equipment is available for each program. Maintains up to date inventory of equipment and supplies. Evaluates and makes recommendations for the purchase of new or replacement of fitness equipment. -10%
Develops comprehensive in-service training program, maintain accurate in-service training attendance records. -5%
Oversees preventative maintenance contract and warranty issues. Develop comprehensive preventative maintenance manual. -5%
Performs teaching of programs as needed. -5%
