Pay Range: State Assistant Director Salary Schedule + [10.5% - 18% local supplement]
Education and Experience Required:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, School Administration or an administrative-related field.
  • A valid North Carolina educator’s license.
  • At least three to five years of successful teaching and/or administrative experience.
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent and Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Position Summary: Support the overall mission of Buncombe County Schools by ensuring schools and departments receive responsive, high-quality HR support and guidance; Provide leadership in the coordination and management of HR systems, data, and processes that directly impact employees; Collaborate with school leaders and provide strong customer service, efficient problem-solving and proactive communication to foster a positive work experience for all BCS employees.
