Summary of Job Description

Effectively partner and support the Director of Human Resources and hotel operations to develop and execute HR strategies. The Assistant Director of Human Resources is responsible for supporting employee engagement, labor relations, benefits, leave administration, workers comp, learning and development, compliance, and recruiting.

The salary for this position is $95,000 - $110,000 per year, based on experience.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Bring an innovative approach to traditional HR processes.
  • Be passionate about employee engagement and training and development.
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of CA employment law, including labor relations, recruiting, benefits, workers comp, leave administration and employee engagement.
  • Be detail oriented and able to multi-task efficiently in a high-volume operation.
  • Maintain confidentiality of guest, employee, and Hotel information.
  • Foster a positive culture within the hotel to include leading by example and providing guidance and support to all management and team members.
  • Ensure hotel compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish speaking skills preferred.
