The Four Seasons Resort s Lāna’i is looking for a n Assistant Director of People & Culture who share s a passion for excellence and who infuse s enthusiasm into everything they do. WHAT YOU’LL DO
The Assistant Director of People & Culture works closely alongside the Director of People & Culture to oversee the day to day running of the People & Culture operation for Four Seasons Resort Lana’i , Sensei Lana’i , and all other Four Seasons Lana’i entities . This role has direct involvement in benefits administration, employee relations, recruitment and retention, employee communications, career development, wage & hour compliance, learning and development, workers’ compensation and legal matters related to hotel employees. Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:
Oversee the administration of employee benefits and ensure compliance with wage & hour regulations
Support recruitment, hiring, and retention strategies
Manage employee relations and foster a positive workplace culture
Take lead on labor relations and union communications
Oversee employee communications and career development initiatives
Coordinate and support learning and development programs
Handle workers’ compensation and employee-related legal matters
Plan, organize, and participate in employee engagement events and recognition programs
Collaborate with leadership to align People & Culture strategies with business goals

WHAT TO BRING
Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in United States (unless the candidate is currently in a managerial position at another Four Seasons location as they may qualify for a L-1 Visa sponsorship)
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs, and push/pull as needed during shifts
Weekend and Holiday availability may be required
3–5 years of experience in a People & Culture leadership role.
Strong background in labor relations and union experience required
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated professionalism, adaptability, and discretion
