What this job involves:
As an Assistant Facilities Manager, Soft Services at JLL, you will be responsible for people management including vendor management, providing coaching and direction to team to develop and sustain a high quality, well-motivated team while providing oversight and management to the team as a backup for the Post Facilities Manager. You will drive staff morale, trust and work ethic amongst site team by fostering an environment that supports teamwork, cooperation, and performance excellence while assisting in mentoring and enabling Training and Development of team members. This role involves managing multiple vendors (including hard and soft skills) to deliver services on time and within budget while assisting the JLL Procurement Team in vendor procurement processes in accordance with agreed Commonwealth procurement rules as well as JLL's procurement best practices. You will deliver excellent customer service to meet client's onsite expectations while building and developing effective relationships with the Posts' key stakeholders and demonstrating comfort working across all levels, directly contributing to JLL's mission of delivering exceptional facility management services through comprehensive people leadership, vendor coordination, and operational excellence that ensures contractual obligations and client expectations are consistently met.

What your day-to-day will look like:
Provide coaching and direction to team to develop and sustain high quality, well-motivated team while providing oversight and management as backup for Post Facilities Manager
Drive staff morale, trust and work ethic amongst site team by fostering environment that supports teamwork, cooperation, and performance excellence
Manage multiple vendors (including hard and soft skills) to deliver services on time and within budget while assisting JLL Procurement Team in vendor procurement processes
Deliver excellent customer service to meet client's onsite expectations while building and developing effective relationships with Posts' key stakeholders
Ensure site's financial operations are meeting targets and control requirements while monitoring financial processes for account payable procedures compliance
Review contractor Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) prior to works being undertaken on site while implementing JLL Operational Risk Management program
Implement Industry Best Practice operations while ensuring all building procedures and performance measures are maintained at all times
Provide 24/7 emergency call support and site attendance as and when required while overseeing site cleanliness and directing cleaning staff.

Required Qualifications:
Experience in people management including vendor management with ability to provide coaching and direction to develop high quality, well-motivated teams
Skills in driving staff morale, trust and work ethic while fostering environment supporting teamwork, cooperation, and performance excellence
Experience managing multiple vendors (hard and soft skills) to deliver services on time and within budget with knowledge of procurement processes
Ability to deliver excellent customer service while building effective relationships with key stakeholders and demonstrating comfort working across all levels
Understanding of financial operations management including targets and control requirements with knowledge of account payable procedures compliance
Knowledge of health and safety management including contractor Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) review and JLL Operational Risk Management program
Experience with Industry Best Practice operations and building procedures maintenance with ability to ensure Critical Environment (CEM) requirements are met
Availability for 24/7 emergency call support and site attendance with skills in site cleanliness oversight and cleaning staff direction.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience assisting in mentoring and enabling Training and Development of team members in facility management environments
Knowledge of Commonwealth procurement rules and JLL's procurement best practices for vendor procurement processes
Understanding of Key Performance Indicators and Service Level Agreement targets achievement in facility management operations
Experience monitoring procedures to ensure service delivery meets contractual obligations and standards and client expectations
Background in contract management including monitoring expiry and initiating re-procurement while ensuring best value delivered to client
Knowledge of disaster recovery and business continuity plans implementation and monitoring with established escalation procedures
Experience with leased residential properties management and building internal and external stakeholder relationships.
