Assistant Fashion Designer

Responsibilities

• Assist the Fashion Designer in researching current fashion trends and market demands
• Collaborate with the design team to create sketches and designs for new collections
• Assist in selecting fabrics, trims, and colors for designs
• Participate in fittings and make necessary adjustments to designs
• Prepare technical specification sheets and detailed tech packs for production
• Work closely with the production team to ensure quality and timely delivery of designs
• Stay updated on emerging fashion trends and industry developments

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field
• Proven experience as an Assistant Fashion Designer or similar role
• Strong knowledge of fashion trends and industry standards
• Proficient in design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Excellent sketching and illustration skills
• Detail-oriented with a strong eye for color, texture, and proportion
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
