Assistant Fashion Designer

Job Overview
We are seeking a creative and innovative Fashion Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fashion and a strong understanding of fabrics, and garment construction.This role requires knowledge of Adobe Illustrator to create sketches, linesheets and CAD’s. Must be comfortable working in Excel to create tech packs. Completes and coordinate design details for product development with technical design team.

Duties

• Assists the Design team in developing the line, doing technical sketches, tach packs, line sheets, CAD’s
• Develops presentation boards and other tools needed for milestone meetings.
• Assists in preparations for Color & Concept, Line Presentation, and other presentation meetings.
• Assists with selection for all trims for development and follows up with production.

Experience

• Proven experience in fashion design or a related field is required.
• 1-3 years' experience in apparel design, not including school. This is a MUST
• Strong knowledge of garment construction techniques and fabric properties.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
• Familiarity with CAD tools for fashion design is a plus.
• Experience in product management or collaboration within a team-oriented environment is beneficial.
