Assistant Fashion Designer

We are seeking an exceptionally talented, highly driven Fashion Assistant Designer to work directly under a globally recognized fashion designer based in our Karachi studio. You will be at the heart of the creative process, bridging the gap between initial concepts and final runway or production-ready garments. We are looking for someone who doesn't just want a job, but is willing to pour their absolute best into every collection.

Key Responsibilities

• Creative Assistance: Work intimately with the lead designer to develop seasonal concepts, mood boards, and initial sketches.
• Sourcing & Procurement: Source premium fabrics, trims, and embellishments, coordinating with both local vendors in Karachi and international suppliers.
• Pattern & Draping Support: Assist in draping, creating initial muslins, and refining silhouettes during fittings.
• Technical Documentation: Create and maintain detailed, accurate tech packs, flat sketches, and production notes for the manufacturing team.
• Studio Coordination: Act as a vital link between the lead designer, the master tailors, embroiderers, and the production floor to ensure absolute flawless execution of the creative vision.
• Trend & Market Research: Continuously research global fashion trends, archival techniques, and emerging market demands.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Educational Background: A degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
• Unmatched Work Ethic: A willingness to go above and beyond. High-end fashion demands long hours, extreme attention to detail, and a "whatever it takes" attitude.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong hand-sketching skills and high proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Textile Knowledge: Deep understanding of fabrics, embroidery techniques, and garment construction (both traditional Eastern and modern Western techniques).
• Agility & Grace Under Pressure: The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure, deadline-driven environment without compromising on quality.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively manage feedback between the lead designer and the production team.
