Assistant F&B Manager

Overview:

The Dining Room Coordinator is responsible for delivering an exceptional member experience and supporting dining service flow. This role serves as a key point of contact for members, ensuring personalized service, efficient seating, and seamless communication across departments.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide a warm, personalized welcome to members, always delivering exceptional hospitality.
  • Manage seating arrangements and table rotation to optimize service flow, escort members to their tables.
  • Support management in maintaining service standards and ensuring smooth daily operations.
  • Oversee the accuracy, presentation, and timely updates of dining menus, including printing and formatting.
  • Serve as a club ambassador by building strong member relationships to enhance engagement, satisfaction, and loyalty.
  • Handle all phone communications professionally, including member inquiries, reservations, and special requests.
  • Utilize reservation platforms (e.g., Northstar Dining module) to manage bookings, track guest flow, and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Work closely with other departments in the hotel to ensure guest satisfaction and seamless service delivery.
  • Carry out any other duties as required by the Food and Beverage Manager or General Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality preferred.
  • 2 years as assistant manager in a fine dining establishment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Word, Excel, POS
  • Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by the Harvard Club of New York City from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance (and/or tardiness) will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with our Standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the club.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing nametags.
  • Comply with HCNY Club Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient club operations.
  • Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.
  • Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $66,300.00 per year
