Assistant Field Supervisor

About Us

California Earth Transport, Inc. is a women-owned trucking company serving Los Angeles, Orange County, and the Inland Empire. We’re seeking a proactive Assistant Field Supervisor to support daily field operations, coordinate truck activities, and ensure projects run safely and efficiently.

What You’ll Do

• Visit active job sites to oversee project start-ups and compliance.
• Deliver dump slips, haul routes, and project documents to field teams.
• Communicate with foremen, inspectors, and dispatch to ensure smooth operations.
• Perform load counting and verify driver compliance with haul routes.
• Support soil sampling, testing coordination, and documentation.
• Obtain and maintain LAX clearance for airport-related projects.
• Promote safety, monitor field performance, and recommend improvements.
• Identify and resolve field or logistical issues quickly and professionally.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to build rapport with drivers, contractors, and clients.
• Must be able to communicate via email and phone.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills with a proactive mindset.
• Ability to handle multiple jobs concurrently.
• Safety-conscious with experience working around heavy equipment, trucks, or demolition operations.
• Cost-aware mindset with the ability to manage field operations efficiently.
• Can-do attitude and proactive approach to completing tasks and leading initiatives.
• Willingness to work early mornings and travel extensively across Los Angeles, Orange County, and surrounding regions.
• Ability to follow direction, manage time effectively, and work independently in the field.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain LAX airport credentials (including background screening).
• Prior experience in construction, trucking, or material hauling preferred.
• Familiarity with soil sampling or environmental compliance procedures is a plus.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $36.00 per hour
