Key Responsibilities
1 Financial Accounting & Reporting
Oversee the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities across multiple entities, ensuring timely and accurate submission of financials in alignment with WD timelines
Review and analyze trial balances, reconciliations, and schedules to ensure accuracy and consistency of financial information
Prepare and review MIS packs, variance analyses, and management commentaries for leadership review
Support consolidation processes in Oracle FCCS or equivalent consolidation tools, ensuring elimination of intercompany balances and compliance with IFRS
Drive continuous alignment of reporting structures with the latest IFRS requirements and Group policies
2 Technical Accounting & IFRS Compliance
Lead technical accounting assessments and prepare accounting position papers on complex transactions (eg, revenue recognition under IFRS 15, leases under IFRS 16, fixed assets under IAS 16, consolidation under IFRS 10, etc)
Ensure accounting policies are consistently applied across entities and updated for new standards or interpretations
Liaise with external auditors during interim and year-end audits, ensuring audit readiness, timely resolution of queries, and minimal adjustments
3 Process Controls & Governance
Implement and monitor internal controls over financial reporting, including reconciliations, accruals, provisions, and intercompany transactions
Support the development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the entire R2R process in coordination with internal and external stakeholders
Drive adherence to the Delegation of Authority (DOA), VAT compliance, and group accounting framework
Identify control gaps and lead initiatives to strengthen compliance and operational discipline
4 Systems & Transformation
Act as a finance process SME in ERP transformation or automation initiatives (Oracle Fusion, FCCS, Keyloop, etc)
Collaborate with IT, Business Finance, and Shared Services to streamline accounting workflows and reporting automations
Champion process improvement and data integrity initiatives to enhance close efficiency, accuracy, and transparency
5 Stakeholder Collaboration
Partner with Business Finance, Group Reporting, Treasury, Tax, and Audit teams to ensure seamless information flow and cross-functional alignment
Provide analytical insights to management to support strategic decisions and financial planning
Support training and upskilling of junior accountants to strengthen the R2R function’s technical capabilities
Key Competencies & Skills:
Technical Expertise: In-depth understanding of IFRS, financial instruments, consolidations, and complex accounting areas
Analytical & Problem-Solving: Strong aptitude for interpreting financial data and identifying improvement opportunities
Systems Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion ERP, FCCS, or equivalent reporting systems
Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for managing cross-functional teams and auditors
Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy, control, and compliance
Leadership & Mentoring: Ability to coach team members and foster a culture of continuous improvement
Educational & Professional Requirements:
Chartered Accountant (CA) / ACCA / CPA (or equivalent qualification) – mandatory
Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience, with at least 2–3 years in R2R / Accounting & Reporting
Previous experience with a Big 4 firm (audit or accounting advisory) is highly desirable
Experience in the automotive, manufacturing, or distribution industry is an added advantage
