Assistant Finance Manager

At Sinergi Utama, we believe that synergy—the combined power of a team—is what drives great projects to completion. We are looking for an Assistant Finance Manager who can be the tactical engine of our finance department in Ar-Rayyan.

Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will play a critical role in bridging the gap between high-level financial strategy and day-to-day operational accounting. This is a role for a high-potential professional who is ready to take on more leadership, manage complex reporting, and ensure our fiscal health remains robust as we scale.

Your Impactful Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting: Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all statements are prepared accurately and in accordance with IFRS.
• Budgetary Support: Assist in developing annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, providing detailed variance analysis to help department heads optimize their spending.
• Tax Compliance: Manage the preparation and submission of tax schedules on the Dhareeba portal, ensuring the company remains in good standing with the General Tax Authority (GTA).
• Operational Oversight: Review and approve accounts payable/receivable transactions, ensuring adherence to internal control policies and contract terms.
• Cash Flow Management: Monitor daily liquidity and assist in managing bank relationships and project-based financing requirements.
• Audit Facilitation: Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors, preparing all necessary files and resolving technical queries efficiently.

Who You Are

• The Credentials: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. You are part-qualified or newly qualified (e.g., ACCA, CPA, or CMA).
• The Experience: 6–8 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role. Experience in Qatar is highly preferred.
• The Analyst: You have an analytical mind that loves to solve puzzles. You don't just find errors; you find solutions and process improvements.
• Tech Literacy: Advanced mastery of Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, financial modeling) and proficiency in ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Regulatory Savvy: Solid understanding of Qatar’s Commercial Companies Law and the current tax landscape.
• The Leader: A natural mentor with the communication skills to bridge the gap between the finance team and our project leads.
