Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Assistant Finance Manager to support financial operations within a hospital/healthcare environment in Nauru. The ideal candidate will be a CA, CPA, or ACCA-qualified professional with strong hands-on experience in healthcare finance, compliance, and reporting. This role plays a critical part in ensuring financial integrity, budgetary control, and operational efficiency of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Finance Manager in overseeing daily finance and accounting operations
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for hospital operations
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements
• Monitor cash flow, accounts payable/receivable, and fixed assets
• Support audits (internal and external) and liaise with auditors as required
• Analyze financial performance and provide actionable insights to management
• Supervise and mentor junior finance staff
• Support procurement, inventory, and cost control processes specific to healthcare services

Required Qualifications

• CA, CPA, or ACCA qualification (mandatory)
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• 6–10 years of relevant finance experience
• Prior experience in Hospitality finance is strongly preferred
• Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and financial controls
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote or island-based setting
