We are hiring for an Assistant Finance Manager role specialized in handling restaurant operations.
Job Title: Assistant Finance Manager – Restaurant Group (Food & Beverage / Hospitality)
Reports to: Group Finance Controller
Position Summary:
The Assistant Finance Manager will oversee the financial management and reporting for a group of entities, ensuring accurate consolidation, compliance, and strategic financial planning. The role requires a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with hands-on experience in multi-company accounting, intercompany reconciliations, financial planning, budgeting, and audit management within the food and beverage or hospitality industry.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Management & Consolidation
- Oversee full-cycle accounting for multiple restaurant entities under the group structure.
- Manage intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and consolidated group financial statements.
- Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing across all companies.
- Review general ledger, balance sheet, and profit & loss for accuracy and compliance.
2. Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Planning
- Develop and monitor annual budgets for each restaurant and the consolidated group.
- Prepare rolling forecasts and variance analysis; identify performance gaps and improvement areas.
- Partner with operations teams to analyze outlet profitability, menu costing, and pricing strategy.
3. Audit, Compliance & Controls
- Coordinate internal and external audits across all group entities.
- Maintain strong internal controls, ensure compliance with VAT, tax, and statutory requirements.
- Prepare audit schedules and ensure timely resolution of observations.
4. Business Support & Strategy
- Act as a financial business partner to the management and restaurant operations teams.
- Support expansion plans, new outlet feasibility studies, and ROI analysis.
- Evaluate CAPEX proposals and monitor project cash flows.
- Provide insights for strategic cost optimization and performance improvement.
5. Cash Flow & Cost Control
- Manage consolidated cash flow planning, working capital, and liquidity across all entities.
- Monitor food, beverage, and labor cost ratios; identify trends and corrective actions.
- Oversee vendor payments, credit control, and ensure adherence to budgetary limits.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.
- 7–12 years of progressive finance experience, preferably in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
- Proven experience managing multi-entity / intercompany accounting and consolidation.
- Strong background in budgeting, financial analysis, and audit coordination.
- Proficiency in Dynamics accounting systems and Excel-based financial modelling.
