Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Accountant to join our real estate development team in Chennai. The role involves handling day-to-day accounting operations, statutory compliances, GST reconciliations, and project-wise financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong exposure to accounting practices within the Real Estate / Construction industry and ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely financial reporting.

Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Financial Operations

  • Handle daily accounting entries and maintain books of accounts accurately.
  • Maintain and organize all accounting records, including bills, vouchers, and supporting documents.
  • Perform bank reconciliations on a regular basis.

Statutory & Compliance

  • Knowledge and maintenance of PF and ESIC records and compliance.
  • Prepare and reconcile GSTR-1 and GSTR-2A / 2B to ensure GST compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to Indian Accounting Standards (IAS) and company policies.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow).
  • Maintain project-wise accounting including construction costs, land costs, overheads, and financing.
  • Assist in budget tracking, variance analysis, and project profitability reporting.
  • Support management with financial forecasts, MIS reports, and ad-hoc financial analysis.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (MBA / CPA preferred).
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in Real Estate / Construction industry is mandatory.
  • Strong working knowledge of Tally, MS Excel (PowerPoint preferred).
  • Sound understanding of GST, PF, ESIC, and real estate accounting practices.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
