About the location:

Soon to be one of the region’s foremost luxury beachside destinations, The Red Sea will comprise of the idyllic natural islands and lagoons across 200 kms of coastline along the western coast of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, between the cities of Umluj and Al Wajh. The new Four Seasons Resort will be located on Shura Island, the hub of the development and home to a yacht marina, leisure and lifestyle facilities, retail offerings, 18-hole golf course and more. The Red Sea destination is being built with sustainable practices and tourism at its core, with the masterplan being informed by an impressive marine spatial planning simulation to model the environmental impact of development and operations to minimize over-tourism while providing guests with an exceptional travel and lifestyle experience. The destination will also rely on renewable energy and will only develop a small portion of the islands with expansive dedicated conservation zones. The new Four Seasons Resort will offer approximately 149 rooms and suites, all with uninterrupted views over white sand beaches and crystal-clear waters. The property will also feature six restaurant and lounge outlets, meeting and events spaces, a marine discovery centre, Kids for All Seasons space and much more. Whether looking for rest and relaxation or sport and water activities, there will be something for everyone, including a full-service spa with a hammam, tennis courts, three outdoor pools with cabanas, and two separate beaches for families and adults perfect for soaking in the sun or diving down to explore the coral reefs.

About the Role:

The Assistant Fitness Manager supports the Spa & Wellness Manager and Spa & Wellness Director in overseeing the daily operations and continued development of the fitness and spa facilities. This role is responsible for creating outstanding fitness activities and wellness programs that enhance the guest experience and reflect the holistic wellness philosophy of the Four Seasons brand. The Assistant Fitness Manager ensures that all fitness and spa services meet the highest standards of excellence, efficiency, and guest satisfaction. Additionally, the role fosters team motivation, implements innovative wellness initiatives, and contributes to financial management, promotions, and events-positioning the spa and fitness center as a leader in the luxury wellness industry.

What You Will Do:

  • Operational Management
  • Oversee all spa, salon areas and especially fitness facilities, including Front Desk, Locker Rooms, Relaxation Lounge, Treatment Rooms, and Retail spaces, ensuring they meet Four Seasons’ standards.
  • Create wellness & fitness activities / programs.
  • Monitor equipment functionality and cleanliness, coordinating with housekeeping, laundry, and engineering to address any issues promptly.
  • Ensure the integration of spa operations with hotel services, aligning with wellness trends and guest needs.
  • Manage administrative duties, including requisitions, purchases orders, inventory control, and cost-effective usage of spa-related products, adhering to budgets.
  • Team Leadership & Development, Interview, train, and supervise spa employees, fostering a positive and motivated work environment.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and implement strategies to develop staff professionally.
  • Host regular staff meetings to share hotel updates, policies, and strategies for enhancing sales and service. Guest Experience & Engagement
  • Ensure exceptional guest experiences by upholding the spa’s luxury service standards and responding promptly to feedback.
  • Coordinate group bookings and conduct on-site spa tours for meeting planners and VIPs.
  • Represent the spa in external events and activities that align with its philosophy and enhance its visibility. Retail Management
  • Manage retail operations, including creating purchase orders, organizing inventories, and ensuring products align with guest preferences and spa themes.
  • Analyze sales trends and collaborate with the Spa Manager to identify opportunities for enhancing retail offerings. Financial & Strategic Support • Assist in forecasting, budgeting, and tracking labour and expenses to maintain financial efficiency.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of PR events and internal and local promotions to drive guest engagement and revenue. Compliance & Standards • Ensure adherence to Four Seasons’ Category One and Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct.
  • Participate in internal standards testing and support various departments to maintain operational excellence.
  • Promote safety awareness and maintain a hazard-free environment for both staff and guests.

What You Bring:

  • Passion for the health and wellness industry, with a commitment to luxury guest experiences.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in English; additional languages are an asset.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Proven ability to motivate, inspire, and develop individuals and teams.
  • Creativity and innovative thinking, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Knowledge of hotel and spa software systems, enhancing operational efficiency.
  • 2-4 years of supervisory or management experience in a club or spa setting.
  • A degree in hospitality management, wellness, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
