Primary Objective of Position:
Responsible for the overall success of the hotel, meeting or exceeding planned objectives for revenue and profit. Ensure guest satisfaction and product quality standards are met. As AGM/Operations Manager all areas of the hotel will fall under your direction and must be in accordance with brand standards to achieve a friendly atmosphere of superior guest service and product quality. Provides exemplary performance for staff to follow.
Required Skills:
Must have previous hotel management experience in front desk, food & beverage, housekeeping or hotel sales/revenue management
Must be able to make decisions that would best accommodate the guest, the staff and the hotel as a business with little supervision.
Must be self-motivated in exceeding expectations and growing professional knowledge of all departments of hotel.
Must have experience in leading, supervising, coaching, hiring and terminating employees.
Must be able to work effectively in a fast paced environment, communicate well with others, effectively deal with guests, make decisions and accept constructive criticism from supervisor.
Must be able to change activity frequently and cope with interruptions.
Employee is expected to work in all areas of the hotel, hands on, when needed to assist operations to perform job duties not necessarily contained in their job description.
Must have the ability to operate a switchboard and has proper professional telephone etiquette.
Must be able to at all times project a favorable and professional image of Hotel to the public.
Required Schedule:
Must be able to work a variety of hours based on business demand, frequently working nights, weekends and holidays. At times must be able to work 6 day work week and/or longer than an 8 hour shift.
