To lead and manage the Human Resources and Administrative functions in alignment with organizational goals, ensuring workforce productivity, statutory compliance, employee engagement, and efficient facility management in a manufacturing/plant setup specific to the printing and packaging industry located at Pune, Maharashtra.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources Management
- Manpower Planning & Recruitment
- Develop and execute workforce planning strategies aligned with production needs.
- Lead end-to-end recruitment for plant and corporate roles: from sourcing to onboarding.
- Coordinate with department heads for hiring needs and skill requirements.
- Performance Management
- Drive performance appraisal systems (KRA/KPI based).
- Monitor performance improvement plans and talent development initiatives.
- Assist HODs in setting clear and measurable goals.
- Training & Development
- Identify skill gaps; develop and execute training calendars for technical and soft skills.
- Partner with external trainers/institutes for specialized programs.
- Promote continuous learning and upskilling.
- Employee Relations & Industrial Relations
- Maintain harmonious employee relations at shop floor and office levels.
- Handle disciplinary actions, grievances, and conflict resolution.
- Liaison with trade unions (if applicable), ensure compliance with standing orders and labor laws.
- Maintain positive work culture and employee engagement.
- HR Operations & Compliance
- Ensure payroll processing accuracy with adherence to statutory norms (PF, ESIC, PT, LWF, Bonus, Gratuity, etc.).
- Maintain employee records, attendance, leave, shift rosters, etc.
- Compliance with labor laws, factory act, and local regulatory bodies (MPCB, MIDC, etc.).
- Ensure audits readiness – internal and external (statutory, client, ISO, etc.).
Administration & Facility Management
- Plant & Office Administration
- Oversee canteen, housekeeping, transport, security, guest house, and general upkeep.
- Vendor management for admin services – housekeeping, security, transport, etc.
- Ensure maintenance of office and factory premises including hygiene, safety, utilities.
- Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) Coordination
- Coordinate with EHS department for employee safety, trainings, emergency preparedness.
- Drive awareness initiatives related to health, hygiene, safety, and well-being.
- Statutory Liaisoning
- Liaise with government departments – Labour Office, Factory Inspectorate, MIDC, Police, etc.
- Maintain licenses, renewals, approvals related to labor laws, factory operations.
- CSR & Welfare Activities
- Organize employee welfare and engagement activities.
- Support in CSR initiatives in the local community in alignment with company policies.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: MBA / PGDM in HR, MSW, or equivalent.
- Experience: 12–18 years of experience in HR & Admin, preferably in a manufacturing/industrial environment, with at least 5+ years in a managerial or AGM level role.
- Prior experience in the printing and packaging industry or FMCG / process industries will be a strong advantage.
