The Assistant Geologist, IIHR – Hydroscience and Engineering will contribute to the mission of the Iowa Geological Survey (IGS) within IIHR – Hydroscience and Engineering by actively engaging in ongoing (and future) projects focused on geologic mapping, data management and interpretation, and public outreach. As an Assistant Geologist with the IGS, the selected applicant will assist with the compilation of various types of mapping products, such as surficial and bedrock geology, groundwater vulnerability, and bedrock topography. Additional project responsibilities will be determined by funding sources and this person will also collaborate on other IGS projects as required.
This is a 1-year specified term position.
This position is not eligible for University sponsorship for employment authorization.
