Responsible for all catering and group sales in the hotel, from booking events to their execution
Assist Asst. Director of Groups & Events Manager and DOS to prepare departmental budget and forecasts, operating within set parameters, ensure effective cost control
To establish and maintain rapport with clients, prior to, throughout and post-conference, exceeding their expectations and encouraging repeat business.
Conduct site inspections and sales activities as required.
To work closely with the Superiors to prepare monthly forecasts
To develop the annual business and marketing plan for the department
Achieves Banquet and Catering budgeted set out in the yearly business plan for the hotel.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Superiors
JOB REQUIREMENT
Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or a related field
1–2 years of experience in Groups & Events within a luxury/5-star hotel (UAE/GCC experience preferred)
Strong knowledge of event planning, banquet operations, MICE, and group room management with a proactive approach
Proficiency in Opera PMS (or similar systems) and Microsoft Office
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Strong organizational, multitasking, and leadership abilities
Customer-focused, detail-oriented, and able to perform effectively under pressure
Flexible to work weekends and public holidays as required
