Job Description:

The Assistant Head Housekeeper is essential in overseeing the housekeeping and laundry operations, ensuring guest rooms and public areas meet the highest cleanliness standards. This role includes both supervisory and hands-on tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in managing and supervising housekeeping staff to maintain cleanliness standards.

Develop and implement a cleaning and laundry schedule that meets operational needs.

Conduct quality assurance inspections for guest rooms, public areas, and laundry.

Address guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly and effectively.

Train and mentor housekeeping staff on cleaning, laundry operations, and safety practices.

Monitor inventory and stock levels, placing orders as needed.

Assist in scheduling and coordinating staff shifts.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation policies.

Clean guest rooms and perform laundry duties as needed to support the team.

Perform other duties as assigned by managers to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications:

Prior experience in a supervisory housekeeping role, preferably in a hotel.

Ability to perform housekeeping and laundry duties, including lifting and bending.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.

Effective communication and customer service skills.

Ability to work weekends and holidays.

Familiarity with housekeeping and laundry equipment and products.
