Responsibilities:

You will be responsible to:

• assist the head nurse in day-to-day management of the inpatient area
• teach and mentor new staff , and ensure that quality care is delivered to patients
• ensure to maintain staff and patient satisfaction level
• meet consultants frequently to discuss patient care related issues and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance quality of patient care
• assess patient care and acuity trends, plan and manage unit and staffing, and ensure availability of supplies, equipment and other resources
• take responsibility of some of department management tasks as per supervisor’s instruction including to develop staff duty roster, check special assignments etc.
• assist in developing and executing specialty-based educational session , courses as per identified staff training needs
• assist in developing and conducting specialty-based courses/ educational material
• assist in policy review and prepare new protocols and guidelines
• prepare action plans for improving staff educational practices and demonstrate initiatives to review related concepts
• act as lead person for quality projects and other departmental initiatives.

Requirements:

You should have:

• a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing (BScN) from an accredited school
• minimum three years of nursing experience
• valid license from Pakistan Nursing Council
• certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Safe Medication Administration, Aseptic Techniques, I/V Cannulation, Tool Training and Facilitation Course
• excellent interpersonal skills, particularly communication and supervisory skills
• willingness to work in shift duties (morning, evening and night).
