Job Title: Assistant Manager – Human Resources

Position Overview
SP Well Fort Hospital is seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager – HR to oversee and manage the full spectrum of Human Resource functions for a 50-bedded healthcare facility. The role requires strong leadership, healthcare HR knowledge, compliance expertise, and the ability to drive employee engagement and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
1. HR Operations & Administration
- Manage end-to-end HR operations including recruitment, onboarding, and employee lifecycle management
- Maintain HR policies, documentation, employee files, and HRMS records
- Ensure timely payroll processing, attendance management, leave administration, and shift planning
- Oversee contract staff, outsourced manpower, nursing and clinical staff HR coordination
2. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Develop manpower planning in coordination with department heads
- Handle hiring for doctors, nurses, technicians, admin staff & support staff
- Conduct interviews, reference checks, selection, and offer proceedings
- Ensure smooth onboarding and induction programs
3. Compliance & Statutory Requirements
- Ensure compliance with Kerala Shops & Establishments Act, Labour Laws, PF, ESI, Bonus, Gratuity etc.
- Manage medical council compliance and hospital workforce regulatory needs
- Handle audits, statutory inspections, and documentation
4. Performance Management
- Implement performance appraisal systems
- Define KPIs for hospital departments
- Support employee development, training, and competency enhancement programs
5. Employee Relations & Engagement
- Handle disciplinary proceedings, grievance redressal, and counseling
- Foster positive work culture, employee motivation, recognition initiatives
- Conduct HR communications, circulars, and employee engagement activities
6. Training & Development
- Organize orientation, skill development, and compliance training
- Develop training calendar for nurses, medical & non-medical staff
- Monitor training effectiveness
7. Health & Safety HR Support
- Support hospital HR standards related to patient care workforce readiness
- Coordinate occupational health, safety awareness, and HR protocol adherence
Qualifications
- MBA / MSW / PG Diploma in Human Resources
- Minimum 5–8 years of HR experience, mandatory in a hospital or healthcare environment
- Strong knowledge of hospital HR operations and statutory compliances
