Assistant Infant/Toddler Teacher

Role Overview:

As a teacher, you will oversee general classroom management, including the personal care, hygiene, and positive discipline of children. You will plan and implement Kids ‘R’ Kids curriculum that encourages physical, social, and emotional development through engaging activities. You’ll ensure the classroom is organized and ready for a safe, productive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage daily classroom functions.
  • Assess each child's developmental needs and work with the Lead Teacher to ensure they are met.
  • Prepare materials and maintain an engaging, well-kept classroom.
  • Maintain class bulletin boards and keep parents informed of what children are learning.
  • Assist with snacks, meals, naptime, and bathroom activities.
  • Attend staff meetings, workshops, and other school functions.
  • Observe all health, safety, and care regulations for children.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties in classrooms, common areas, and playgrounds.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma (required); CDA (preferred)
  • Must meet state requirements for the position.
  • Experience: Classroom teaching experience in an early childhood setting is preferred.
  • Must be Infant, Child, and Adult CPR/First Aid certified at the time of hire.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. for children’s safety and emergency situations.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
  • Organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • A pleasant, friendly demeanor with an outgoing personality.

Pay: $15.50 - $16.00 per hour
