Assistant Installation Technician

Job Role

The City Gas Meter Assistant Installation Technician is responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of gas meters and related equipment in residential, commercial, and industrial locations under ADNOC Distribution’s city gas network.

Key Responsibilities

1.Assist the Installation Technician in transporting, unpacking, and preparing gas meters, communication modules, and installation tools.
2.Help in preparing the site by clearing obstacles, ensuring safe access to the meter point, and placing safety signs/barriers if required. 3.Hold or pass tools, fittings, and components during installation. 4.Carry meters and installation kits from the vehicle/store to the site. 5.Ensure tools and unused materials are safely returned to the vehicle or inventory location after work. 6.Handle minor cleanup after installation (dust, packaging, etc.). 7.Ensure proper use of PPE (helmet, gloves, safety vest, etc.). 8.Follow all HSE instructions given by the technician or supervisor. 9.Support in handling equipment and tools safely, especially when working near gas lines. 10.Support the technician during leak testing, basic functionality checks, or meter tagging. 11.Help collect site photographs, customer signatures, or checklist copies if needed.
