Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated Assistant Interior Designer to support our design team on luxury projects. This role is ideal for emerging designers or recent graduates looking to gain hands-on experience in high-end interior design. The Assistant Interior Designer will support the team with research, project documentation, client presentations, and coordination with vendors and contractors while developing their design skills under guidance.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing design concepts, mood boards, and presentation materials.
• Conduct research on furniture, finishes, lighting, and décor suitable for luxury projects.
• Support preparation of floor plans, drawings, and 3D renderings.
• Maintain and organize project documentation, schedules, and samples.
• Assist senior designers with client communications and presentations.
• Help coordinate with vendors, contractors, and consultants to ensure project specifications are met.
• Attend site visits and meetings as required, documenting progress and taking notes.
• Stay informed about trends, materials, and luxury products in interior design.

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field preferred.

Experience:

• 0–2 years of professional experience in interior design (internships or freelance experience included).

Skills & Competencies:

• Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar).
• Strong visual and spatial design sense.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Positive attitude and eagerness to learn from senior team members.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Attributes

• Portfolio showcasing creativity, style, and attention to detail.
• Interest in high-end residential and/or commercial luxury design projects.
• Basic knowledge of construction documentation, materials, and furnishings.

Opportunities for Growth

The Assistant Interior Designer will gain hands-on experience across all phases of luxury interior design projects, build relationships with clients and vendors, and have the opportunity to advance to a Junior or Associate Designer role as skills and responsibilities grow.
